Honda's re-engineered natural gas version of the 2012 Civic will be making its debut on October 18th. It will be available at 200 dealers across 38 states, priced at $26 155. The Natural Gas version significantly reduces operating costs and fuel costs since natural gas costs 30% less per gallon than gasoline and the revised Civic 1.8 engine produces almost zero smog-forming emissions and has the cleanest internal-combustion engine, certified by EPA. Despite it being more than $2000 more expensive than the Civic Hybrid and just slightly less fuel efficient, in California, you get the option of using the state-issued decal to drive with one occupant in the HOV lanes.
