Hyundai Veracruz 2011 fails to close the luxury gap in the crossover market
Hyundai Veracruz 2011 fails to close the luxury gap in the crossover market
Conservative to a fault, the 2011 Hyundai Veracruz crossover represents the point on the age/value equation that the Toyota Highlander had just a few years ago.

It’s undeniably handsome, if a bit anonymous, but the Veracruz has an interior that’s built almost to Lexus standards for feel and look. It’s also a spacious place, at least in the front rows; the third row seat’s as proportionally small as the Veracruz is to the bigger crossovers with seven seats (Highlander, Flex and Traverse), and so is the space available when all three rows are taken.
It’s awaiting some safety scores, and in its fifth year on the market the Veracruz still awaits factory-installed Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera option, and any or all of the high-tech features that define the Flex and now other crossovers, like the Dodge Journey and Durango.
Still, it’s a roomy vehicle that’s well equipped for its price. If you like the slightly luxurious look, the 2011 Hyundai Veracruz will certainly help you project a luxury image on a leaner budget.

Hyundai lets you play racing game on Times Square big screen using your iPhone

If you happen to be in Times Square between now and the end of the year, you can play the game on the massive LED screen on 47th Street and Broadway. In fact, there are a pair of video screens, so up to two players can play at once. We're guessing this screen beats the two-player setup on most 70-inch LED television screens at home.
Hit the jump to watch Hyundai Race for yourself. And if you will be finding yourself in The Big Apple before New Year's Day, make sure to download Hyundai Race and get in line... we're guessing there will be quite a few gamers waiting for a shot at the big screen.

2011 HYUNDAI ELANTRA
2011 HYUNDAI ELANTRA

The Elantra uses a new, er Nu(think Greek) 1.8-liter inline four cylinder that is 74 lbs. lighter than the Beta 2.0-liter engine it replaces. Now featuring an aluminum head and block, the new mill produces 148 horsepower at 6,500 rpm, which is 7 percent better than before, and peaks out at 131 lb-ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm. EPA fuel economy for the 2,661-pound four-door is 29 city/40 highway for both manual and automatic transmission models. From full to empty, an Elantra can travel 512 miles on a single tank.
A six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission will be available (manual in the GLS only) at launch. A beautiful looking car with at a good price. This sub-Corolla, Yaris competitor would be more than welcomed in Pakistan.
