Toyota Innova Price specifications features
The Toyota Innova since its launch has been a tremendous success and is a true Multi Utility Vehicle. It is one of the most practical cars around today. Toyota Innova has loads and loads of interior space and this MPV can easily accomodate 7-8 people in comfort. Innova is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. But most of Innovas which are sold are predominantly the diesel one.
The 2.0 litre 4-cylinder fuel injected petrol engine with VVT-i technology is fuel efficient and is fun to drive. It produces 136ps of power @ 5600 rpm and 181 Nm of Torque @ 4000 rpm. However the 2.5 litres 4 cylinder turbocharged common rail direct injection diesel engine producing 102ps of power @ 3600 rpm and 200 Nm of Torque @ 1400 rpm is more popular. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The D4D motor is gem of a motor. It is the one of the best diesel engine available on any car in India. It has ample power and engine seems very relaxed and composed even at speeds. The transmission has best gear ratios and you don’t need to change gears frequently. This makes Innova a good city car as well. NVH levels are also very low on this engine. For the comfortable ride Innova uses double wishbones with coil springs as the front suspension and non-independent suspension at the rear with four links and a lateral rod with coil springs.
Toyota is constantly improving and upgrading its highest selling MPV. The front bumper has been upgraded in the latest version of new Innova. It has lost the almond lights and these have been replaced with the slightly more rectangular wrap around headlights which makes Innova more prettier. The new grille is wider and is with touch of chrome which resembles like that of Toyota Fortuner. The hood also gets some nice character lines. All of these elements work to give the Innova wide looking front. The rear is same however the tail lights have been given the clear lens treatment to give it more upmarket look and feel.There are small changes in the interiors as well. The dashboard has been enhanced with an integrated touch screen system similar to the one found on the new XUV 500. The new streering now comes with volume increase/decrease button and bluetooth phone control. The rest of the package remains the same including high quality fit and finish Innova is known for. The seats are extremely comfortable with excellent lumbar support and enough space to strech your legs. It’s an upgrade for the better and though buyers of the Innova really need no convincing, the new look should go a long way in making that buying decision even easier.
