Honda's Everus S1 Brand to be introduced in China next month
Honda's sub-brand in Guangzhou, China, the Linan Everus S1 will be launching next month in China. Honda's Everus brand is where they will place older, re-badged Hondas under the Everus name. The S1 will have a 1.3 and a 1.5L engines with manual and automatic gearboxes available. Pricing will be near 80 000 in China to be competitive with other small cars. China Take Hold: Everus To Be Launched
Guangqi Honda Co, a joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Group and Honda Motor Co will begin selling the Everus brand of automobiles in the first half of this year. It will launch its self-branded Everus line of vehicles beginning with the Li Nian S1 at a southern Chinese city auto show. They hope to sell up to 50 000 units in 2011.
Honda Suffers in Japan in December 2010 Sales Report
Honda sales in Japan have slumped 40% in December 2010 due in part to government subsidies to replace old cars being removed in September 2010. Honda sold only 24 109 units as the entire automotive industry in Japan was down 28.3% sitting at a total of 179 666 units sold in December.
